Oakleaf European was born in March 1995, just outside Paris at the world's largest food market - Rungis International. John Piper and Patrick Mulhall founded the business and still work full-time in the company today. Their ambition and motivation is still the same - to supply their customers with the finest produce available, whilst providing a fun but serious business environment that creates a buzz for staff and customers alike.So, what makes us so different from everybody else?
Oakleaf have chosen to by-pass intensive farming methods that ignore the soil, the sun and insist on over-watering, consequently substituting flavour for yield. Instead we offer regional produce that is enjoyed by the very people who live there and utilise what Europeans have known for years - just keep everything natural and simple. It is an honest philosophy, "Buy the Best, from the Best, to serve the Best".
Since 1995 the business has grown steadily, year on year, and now extends to employing 40+ loyal staff. By introducing only the best people with a passion for excellence our gradual but consistent growth has enabled Oakleaf to take great care in looking after every customer's needs and requirements - no matter how extreme!
From that humble beginning in Rungis, Oakleaf European is now in a position to serve people with a passion for superb produce, anywhere in the world.
