
What We Do | Why Us?
- Bespoke service - Quite simply we buy hands on and only to order. We do not hold stock therefore we can only ever deliver fresh produce.
- Market based buyers - Senior buyer Robin has 14 years experience of buying in Rungis exclusively for Oakleaf customers, whilst Matthieu has 4 years and Jon 2 years. We knew both Matthieu and Jon for some time before they joined us and the support they give Robin makes them a great team. All three are responsible for their own product ranges and walk the market everyday. They use their natural senses of sight, smell, feel and of course taste to identify the produce they want to select for Oakleaf's customers, getting to understand chefs' individual needs. buying the best, from the best, for the best.
- Seasonality - Quite naturally our suppliers have an emphasis on the seasons and so do we. This is reflected through our ever-changing price list and our attempt to follow the sun throughout the year!
- Origins - Here at Oakleaf we aim to bring back authenticity. We are keen for our customers to experience the flavours of produce from the areas where they are naturally grown.
- Delivery - We have our own fleet of chilled vehicles which allows us to deliver directly to the majority of our UK customers. And for those just outside our reach or even further afield - we have a proven ability to export mixed pallets of fresh produce to customers as far away as the Caribbean. On a weekly basis we deliver to Scotland, Wales, the Channel Islands, the Caribbean Islands and the Middle East.
- Quality of service - We are committed to our customer's individual needs and always go that extra mile whenever necessary. We are proud to serve some of the finest hotels and restaurants in the world and are confident we can go almost anywhere with anything!
